Ok. The local dealer has the uncoated version in stock. They say they don't see the value of the coated version for hundreds of dollars more.
Also Siezmik has a price of $250ish (MSRP?) for the non coated version and the local dealers wants $400 after tax. Seems to be a wee bit of a difference there.
Basically my question is- Is the coated worth $150-$200 more?

I haven't seen any one that sells a kit that lets you add the hard coat to an un-coated windshield. Sorry I couldn't be more help

I would look at the online dealers like utv headquarters, sidebysidestuff or sand moto powersports for better pricing than your dealer. And if you are trail riding in woods or mud or dust, the hard coat is worth the money. Where we ride we have to be able to clean our windshields while on the trail, and you just can't do that unless it's glass or hard coated.
    Best Regards

I ordered one from Bill at UTV Headquarters Thursday and it got here today! I'll be at my cabin this weekend and will report back. Lots of parts to put together first though.

Went to UTV HQ website and it appears they have the Siezmik Versa Fold HC on their twice for different prices. 1 is the Versa Fold with the $170
HC Option the next is the Versa Fold HC (not a option it is what it is).
Item 2 is $25 cheaper. Redrock which did you order?
