which crew to purchase..
Considering buying a ranger crew...either looking at buying a slightly used good condition 2013 800 crew or a 2014 900 crew. Going to lift it and throw 29.5 or 30s on it.
I currently own an 800 midsize and love it, but it just doesn't have enough room. I want something that will be tough as nails and not give me any problems. Spend a lot of time running around the ranch and going to colorado. I've heard a couple negative things about the 2014+ 900s.
Anyone have advice on which is better route to go??

I have a 13 800 full size NON crew. While I like mine if I could go back in time I would have gone with the 900 design. The hot seat and cab noise being the two things that disappoint me currently. At the same time I would likely not have the same appreciation for the 900 until I had my 800. My $.02
I'm 2 years in on my 2014 900 Ranger crew. I'll be glad to respond to personal experience with the negatives you have heard. And I have no regrets missing the negatives I've heard about the 800's.

If I were to get a crew it would be a 900 deluxe 5 seater. The tough as nails well, that is all about how much you want to spend in aftermarket parts and how big of nails you talking about!
I've had both... go 900 for sure! The noise, heat, & power differences are night and day!
Both great looking machines Csims.

The 800 is great, but the 900 is better. The difference is hard to believe until you've had both.

Agree with ExPat - Plan on spending significant money on aftermarket. They are about as tough as a picture nail if you plan to run 30's with stock running gear. That being said, they do better than the 800s with bigger rubber.
