Polaris Tracks vs. Tatou 4S tracks in Snow

    Hey guys,

I have a question on the different brands of tracks out there. I have a chance to buy a seat of Polaris UTV tracks at a pretty decent price but I was dead set on Tatou 4S tracks until this deal came up. How will the Polaris tracks perform in the snow particularly? Also, can I use a lift kit in addition to these tracks for additional clearance? What are the advantages of either of these two brands of tracks?

    Thanks!

What version of polaris tracks are you looking at? I have not tried the new Pro-SR tracks yet, but I like the tatou tracks over the pro-s tracks I have. I like the more aggressive tread and the longer rear footprint of the tatou tracks. Camoplast customer service can be questionable. If you can get a good deal on a set of Pro-SR tracks I'm sure you would be happy with them.

The difference between -s and -sr tracks is the -sr rear tracks are wider and have a more agressive track pattern, front tracks are the same.

I just got tatou 4s . there real nice. They lift your ranger up alot. I dont think there is a need for a lift kit. They seem to be unstopable.

Typically all tracks raise the ride height 5-6".

I like my polaris tracks,im very impressed with them and the support my dealer gave me with them.I can bring them by anytime for inspections and adjustments. My opinion on track length is it does not matter one bit these tracks will go anywhere,i do like the easy turning from a short track, and less weight i would not want to add any more weight to my Ranger and these tracks are heavy especially the rear ones. For me Polaris all the way, we get a minimum of 3-5 feet of snow my first year is amazing.

I would not want to go more aggresive on the track treads it is not needed.
I like mine the way they are so i can have a comfortable ride when the snow melts and i can still cruise on the lakes without feeling the vibration of a more aggresive tread.Again this is my opinion i did 2 years of researching before i decided on Polaris tracks even before i owned the Ranger.
