    DEER WINCH

I saw a picture on here a while back of a winch mounted on the back top roll bar.. winching a moose in the tilted bed of a ranger... I cant find it again, but the poster said he would post pictures of that frame he built. My question is.. is the roll bar strong enough to mount a small electric winch, or a manual type boat trailer winch to winch 200 pound deer in the bed??? or, would it need to be braced and braced??

if i recall he said he just made a bracket to mount the winch to for the time you winch him up with the bed tilted all the weights not just hanging off the roll bar some of it is on the bed just my thought

Ok, here is my next question... I have a small 1500 pound off brand winch that has been setting in a box for a year.. I wonder is there is a way to rig it some way to just plug it in the cig lighter for power...temporarily... or, will it draw too many amps and blow fuses...??..??

I couldnt find a picture of the how the winch is attached... so, should I make a brace to run from one upright to the other, taking the pulling weight off of the cross bar.. or just hook it to the top bar?? thoughts..??
