    EV issues

My 2014 EV has been at the dealer for 1 month for cutting out in low range when going up hills. It also overheats often now where when new rarely did. They basically only checked the batteries and reflashed the controller. Worked fine first day but now is back with same issues. Actually overheats now after only 10 minutes of light driving. Doesn't stop just that the dash light for overheating light flashes. Back it goes to the dealer. Anyone seen something like this before?

Well got my EV back today. They installed the fan kit which looks very factory and put in a new controller under warranty. First time out it ran great but will do more testing tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The key to using the EV Motor Cooling Fan is to turn it ON BEFORE you get the warning light. I automatically turn mine on in temps over 75 degrees ambient OR when climbing a lot of hills.

Well got it back this week and ran it for 20 minutes or so then overheated again without the fan running. Both controller and motor were VERY hot. Not towing with no cargo. Only the driver on flat ground. Let cool for 2 hours and went back out. This time turn on fan but it stopped working. Blown fuse maybe?? Back to the dealer it goes.

They said I needed the fan which didn't agree but bought it anyways as it may come in handy during summer months with heavy loads. But the riding I did this week it shouldn't be needed. On top of that only ran for a few minutes and it stopped working. Lol. Gota say never had any issues with all the Hondas I've owned. But they don't make electrics either.

I'm really hoping they figure this out as design wise this is one of my favorite off road vehicles. But I need it reliable so I can use it too. For hunting and farm use its awesome when running.

Update: Still at the dealer. After installing a new controller they pulled out the same codes once I ran it for 20-30 minutes. Not sure what the codes are but I'll try to find out and post back. Now they want me to put the factory tires back on. I know this isn't the issue as we have 26" tires on another EV with no issues. I feel like Polaris doesn't know much about electrical systems. Going on 3 months now and still no answers.

Have they, by any slim chance, checked to see if something is binding in the gear box or brakes that could be overloading the motor?
