    Install Am/Fm Radio in 2010 800xp

I just purchased a new 2010 ranger 800xp eps and would like to install a radio in the area under the speedometer. How do I get the speedometer out ? Has anyone installed a radio in this area. If so where did you place the speakers. If anyone has any pictures they will help.
    Thanks for the help

There are a couple of push-lock clips that hold the whole instrument cluster in. You can pop out the center of the push lock clip and the whole cluster will come out. Just be careful not to take it out far enough to disconnect any of the wires.

You can cut the back side of the storage pocket out with a utility knife. Just take your time and make several passes with the knife. The Radio will slide in there and the rear of the radio can be supported with a strap.

There are a few options for speaker mounts. There are speaker pods which mount in the kickpanel area of the Ranger. These are sold through Polaris or I believe SSV Soundworks.

There are also several sponsers that sell sound bars that can be mounted overhead in the Ranger. Finally, you can do what many others have done, which is to create a custom overhead speaker box built out of MDF or other wood.

    Good Luck

Just installed the stereo under the speedo. It looks great and goes in pretty easy. Also did the polaris kick panel speakers with the kicker speakers from my dealer.
