    Food Plot Preparation

I have a 2013 900. I'm looking to plan my food plots for next year and thinking of something to turn the ground over. I thought I saw EMP sell a 4 disc cultivator for around $400.

Im only doing about 2 acres of plot, 1 acre in 2 different places.

Any recommendations on prepping the ground for seed?

    Thanks

Be extremely careful with the hitch mounted equipment. I've seen it many many times where whatever attachment you are using puts to much pressure on the hitch receiver itself. You can either break welds bend the hitch or even worse break the rear main frame where the receiver attaches to it. Whatever the weak link in your ranger is will end up giving up eventually

My grandfather had this happen on his old 800. Since then he got a 900 and had me weld up some extra bracing to support the torque the cultivator adds on the receiver and frame. It works. But I would never do it to my own. Just to many things to go wrong. Just my opinion

ummm... sure... the Hunter 300 is retail $4,449.00

I like to hunt and without a food plot this year I still took in 7 good deer so no need or want to spend that kind of money...
