"PROJECT CAMO CASSIE" Polaris Ranger Midsize 570 Build

Earlier this week i purchased a midsize ranger 570 with a blown engine. I thought i would document the build along the way and document it here for all to see. The kids have named the Ranger "CAMO CASSIE" . Unit has a 4" lift and 31' outlaw tires on diesel m12 wheels. This is my first build such as this however i do buy and flip vehicles in the same manor. I work daily as a Master Technician @ a Nissan dealer, so tools and skills wont be a problem, however as mention i am new to working on ATV/SXS to this degree. Follow along over the next few weeks. Pictures and video will be added as I go. In the end i plan to do a complete overview of the costs associated with getting it running.

    Enjoy Brian

Well here is an overview of where i am at. I kinda went backwards a little in that i started diagnosis and disassembly and then it dawned on me to document the build.

Took the cylinder head to work to clean it up some. I plan to reuse the existing valves so i will lap them to the head later this week. As you can see the valves had a lot of build up on them. Using a rag i soaked the cylinder head several times with transmission fluid and then cleaned it by hand using a scotchbright pad "very fine" texture. It cleaned up pretty good.
