a built teryx still cant hold a candle to a stock S, we ride with one a lot. They dont handle worth a crap, wont climb as good and gets spanked in races. go buy you a can am, even the 1000 is not as fast as a s according to many reports from guys who have test rode them.

what were they thinking? every forum i have found has been lit up with chatter about the new upgraded rzr and they release a downgraded version? odd company, with these forums the company has direct access to the wants and desires of it's customers, never saw a single post stating "i wish i could buy a lesser model rzr s"? i don't get it. must have hired a couple of extra mba's to help them understand what thier customers want...

kinda suprised nobody called him out on that skeet. he did make a real mess. obviously i'm on thin ice so it sure won't come from me...

there is one "supermoderator" RZRider, who chimed in and stated that the 2011 lineup is "pathetic" on the disapointed with 2011 thread.

the commander is "ok" but if i wanted a hotrod rhino there are easier ways of getting one. still curious of your impression of it as compared to a rzr. guessing it's fast but big and heavy(anti-sport).

still can't believe polaris dropped the ball this way, but then again this is my first polaris(and i still love mine by the way!). i've always had honda's, and they always dissapoint(bigred???) so i'm kinda used to it.

I doubt we will end up disapointed with Polaris, they won't let go of the top spot easily. I'm sure they are just not quite ready for the Commander Killer to be unveiled. I'd like to see a big engine sport machine, but I would rather they didnt rush it.

true, rushing it won't help anyone.

the problem was more that a moderator on another forum claimed to have inside knowledge of some amazing new rzr's for 2011. now, 2011 hasn't even started yet and maybe polaris has a grand slam that they haven't released yet but it sure isn't one of these.

in all reality i'm still guessing that polaris has something cool up it's sleeve. it wouldn't make any sense for that mod to make up a lie like that.it would just serve to make him look like an idiot. still bettin on a mid year release of a hi-po model with some kind of bigger motor. my guess is he did get a little info but either messed up the release date or polaris had to hold back due to some type of teething issue. either way he looks really bad, people aren't saying anything for fear of being banned but everyone knows it. too bad really, just hurts the forum in the long run, makes it look like they were worried about the canam release stealing their thunder and went and made the whole thing up. again i'll bet there is some truth to the original statements.

As I said earlier, IF you are privy to inside or early info, you MUST sign a non disclosure form. Our management team has been in the position a couple times of being privy to info just a little early so we could write it up. However, when we give our word to not disclose it, we stick to it. As you can see from other places, it works much better like that!! Anytime you see anyone making wild claims, they are either making it up or it will be the last time they are privy to that. Polaris does not play when it comes to stealing their thunder and you can receive a summons to appear in court!!! Sometimes, leaks come from the press preview that occurs 3 or 4 weeks before the dealer show. This event is held so the mags can have their story ready for release on reveal night. I would have guessed that Polaris had a response to Can Am and I still think they might have one this year, but it is only a guess. I guess we could use the Fox news label here, "fair and balanced!!!"

I have some of my own thoughts on both the RZR and the Commander. I have driven the RZR S on many occasions and test drove the Commander at a local rally here in Northern Maine. Let me tell you that the hype given to the Commander is greatly overrated. They steer really heavy and have a tremendous amount of front end push. The body panels are typical Can-am and after unclipped three or four times would not hold together on it's own garanteed! I had a 2007 can-am ATV and until I owned one I would have never believed it. These machines are not built on the same level as Polaris. The quality is just not there! They get clunky real fast, and feel and look old after only a couple thousand miles. I'll keep my XP over either, but that's just fits my riding style better. Please if you have not tried a Commander do not diss the RZR, if you buy one without trying it you maybe a little dissapointed if you value the same things in a side by side that I value. Just sayn. Very Happy
