Fellow PRC member Blackbart is doing the review and I wanted to make sure you all knew about it!......Gary

Anyone Interested in Clutching Overview?

IF YES, check it out in the RZR Section of the PRC forum!

Topic Content is NOT specific to a RZR so I don't want my Ranger friends
to be left out. Come on over and check it out.
Series will be starting TONIGHT.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No consideration given to any one vendor......However, information from all vendors should be viewed as tested, documented and factual.

Have gathered a considerable amount of information on springs, flyweights, helix's., belts, which I am going to post pics., comparisons, and general tuning tips AND would like ALL to contribute info, if you have any....not opinions, just facts. IF this addressed properly, could be turned into a STICKY, to help anyone considering reclutching or for purchasing a clutch kit.

This is should not be considered a POLL, but rather experiences gathered from everyone that has tried various clutching solutions.

Due to the content as well as the extent of this topic, it will be covered in the following Segments:

APPENDIX

Section 0 Clutching -Tools needed and/or Required

Section 1 CVT Clutching Theory (How it WORKS)

Section 2 Primary Clutch Mods (Springs, Flyweights) & Effects

Section 3 Secondary Clutch Mods (Springs, Helix) & Effects

Section 4 Drive Belts (Types, Alignment, Freeplay)

Section 5 Items Affecting Clutching (Total Weight, Wheel Rim Size, Tire Size, Tire Configuration, Riding Preferences, Temperature/Humidity, Elevation, Engine Mods)

Section 6 - Removal/Disassembly/Re-installation of Both Clutches
