Has anyone installed one? Does it work? Is it worth $99? _________________ 2011 Camo XP |

This product is not worth the money and in my opinion was a poor attempt at stopping the heat. The foam parts that are in the kit I ended up cutting them up to what I considered a better way of utilizing the parts. I had a roll of Dynamat Dynaliner,1/4 inch thick that I used to finish out the project. I would look for the Dynaliner on ebay and purchase it and cut my own parts. It did cut down on the heat coming from around the seat base. _________________ PRC #11880

Been there done that. No, no, no. Over priced and does little to help the issue. I would go with the Dyna Mat suggestion _________________ Ken

Doesn't it bother you that seal kits for dust and heat for under the seat under the dash is an option and not something that should be part of the unit?

Yes, it does bother me! On my next purchase I am going to look a lot closer at the competition out there. Deere comes to mind if they make a couple of changes in future models. _________________ Ken

Ditto. I like the simple fixes. The best thing is that it's easily removed in the winter when you want that extra heat. _________________ Jerry

Yes I agree, the noodle is the best fix for heat and dust.. it's even the right length, just pop it in and go. _________________ '06 XP w/4000lb Warn, brush guard, Hella driving lights, nerf bars, Curtis cab, 26" Bighorns.. ranger buggie

M3tt5, the area is the alpine loop between Silverton, CO and Lake City, CO. Extremely beautiful place to ride and a majority of the trails are jeep trail so they are plenty wide enough for the ranger. We stayed in Silverton and had to trailer a few miles to the trailhead. You can drive all the way to Lake City and park at a trailhead a few blocks from the town square, walk in to town and have an old fashioned milk shake or ice cream at the soda fountain. The kids loved it. Lake San Cristobal is a pretty place to ride around also, it's on the loop also.. We plan on going back next summer. I would advise on getting a map or book of the jeep trails in the area, there are a lot of trails off the main loop.. _________________ '06 XP w/4000lb Warn, brush guard, Hella driving lights, nerf bars, Curtis cab, 26" Bighorns.. ranger buggie

Hey Greg(Dunny 96) We spent last week at Wolf Pen Gap. Rode almost all the trails and had a blast. The rally was friday and Sat. and almost as many sXs as there were Quads.
had a bunch from PRC Forum there.
Hawks Overlook is about the worst place there now.

okie, hopefully you went outside WPG as well... The area around it is much better. Heck at this point, only if someone wants to, we spend 2 hours and then do all of WPG and then spend the rest of the weekend doing everything else. |
