I often hear comments that people never heard of AMSOIL. Well they have been around since 1972 and have been credited with starting the synthetic oil market. In comparison Mobil 1 hit the market in 1974.
Here is a nice brochure that gives a snapshot of their manufacturing plant operations in Superior, Wisconsin (Duluth, MN).
