I'm about to upgrade my A-Arms from stock to HL edition stock on the front and rear, and am planning on going ahead and replacing the bushings while I've got it broken down. Any good recommendations on bushings? I've considered Garage products, but I can get SATV UHMW bushings for much cheaper. I don't really want to spend $400 on a-arm and shock bushings.
I have had the GPs on my 800 for a few years and they have been great. I never grease them (they are sealed so can't get any grease in anyway) and they don't squeak. Best $300 I spent on the squeaky 800
The rear sway bar bushings on my 2018 squeak all the time. Greasing them doesn't seem to last very long. GP doesn't have these. Do you know of any aftermarket suppliers that offers those bushing?
There is no aftermarket bushing for the sway bar at this time.
More than likely your using a petroleum based Grease NLGI 2, both are not very good for this application.
The oil from the Grease leaches into the plastic bushings over time, causing it to swell and deteriorate, and is susceptible to wash out.
Purchase a tube of Silicone Grease and put on your sway bar bushings, it is a NLGI 3, so it is more of a paste and will not harm your bushings.
Also apply this to your suspension bushings.
DC-4 and DC-111 are both available in 14oz cartridges for grease guns; I prefer DC-4.
