I will do that now that I know I have an issue (or had an issue). Thanks again for your help, I do appreciate it.
  2. Overheated 2015 MS 570 Ranger

    Mid-Size Rangers
I drove the Ranger today for the firs time since the radiator issue. The temp never got above 176 degrees and when I got back to the garage, I let it cool off, then checked the coolant. It had dropped slightly, so I topped it off again. The overflow bottle was down just a bit below the...

I will do that. There doesn't appear to be a problem with the fan cycles. As a matter of fact, the fan was running the other day when it over heated and I noticed coolant on the ground, so I assume I was low on coolant? I will watch it to see what is happening when it reaches the 200 mark...

got it...thanks again for all your help. Hopefully, this has resolved the issue. I'll put it to the test in a few days when the next snow flies.

Thanks for that info. It's stopped bubbling now and the coolant is to the top of the radiator cap. There is no fluid in the recovery bottle. I suppose I can just open that cap and pour some coolant in?

  7. Overheated 2015 MS 570 Ranger

temps is now 215 with fan running. Coolant was being pushed out of cap. so I put cap on. Is that ok?
  8. Overheated 2015 MS 570 Ranger

    Mid-Size Rangers
I don't have a manual and don't know where to find the purge screw. Is it on the engine where the hose running to the radiator is located? If I can find it, is it a matter of just loosening the screw while the engine is running to allow some fluid and air to escape?
  9. Overheated 2015 MS 570 Ranger

    Mid-Size Rangers
I cranked it and it runs fine, but doesn't seem to be circulating the coolant at this point.
  10. Overheated 2015 MS 570 Ranger

    Mid-Size Rangers
I don't have a service manual, but am trying to order one today. I filled the radiator up with coolant and cranked it. It runs fine and I keep watching to see if the coolant was being circulated. The only thing I saw was intermittent bubbles rising to the top and a gradual rise in coolant...

Pyromedic, thanks for that thorough troubleshooting outline. I've never over heated in the past and still not certain why it blew some antifreeze under the hood (I assume either from the overflow tank or the radiator cap). I've never had the radiator cap off. I will check it out tomorrow...
  12. Overheated 2015 MS 570 Ranger

    Mid-Size Rangers
When I noticed it was overheated was when the engine died with the fan running while I was busy with something else. I cranked it again, and pulled into the garage and it was running very rough with no power and the hot lamp was on. I hadn't check the temp at this point and stopped the engine...
  13. Overheated 2015 MS 570 Ranger

    Mid-Size Rangers
Jungleman, thanks for that feed back. The radiator is clean, fins are all clear. Perhaps it has overflowed in the past and I've not noticed, but I will try refill and allow to run to purge any air. Thanks again for the reply.
  14. Overheated 2015 MS 570 Ranger

    Mid-Size Rangers
Just came in from plowing snow and my 570 Ranger leaked some coolant. The fan was running, and I let the engine run while I was doing something else, and then the engine died. I got back in it, cranked it and the temp light was on at 201 degrees and the fan started running. So, I thought I...
  15. 2015 MS Ranger belt not releasing

    Mid-Size Rangers
Found the problem...the primary spring broke. Not sure how that happened as this Ranger has been not been under heavy load. Got the parts coming from Babbitt's to repair. The belt still looks good.
  16. 2015 MS Ranger belt not releasing

    Mid-Size Rangers
That cover is tough. I've not got it off yet. So, how hard is the idler bearing to replace? It's got to be easier than getting that cover off.
  17. 2015 MS Ranger belt not releasing

    Mid-Size Rangers
The idle rpm is where it's always been.
  18. 2015 MS Ranger belt not releasing

    Mid-Size Rangers
I have a 2015 MS Ranger Crew that started being hard to shift. It's gone to being impossible to shift if the engine is running. Once I kill the engine, I can easily shift it. I've disconnected the shift cable at the rear of the machine and I can shift it by hand with the engine off. When the...
  19. 2014 Crew 900 physically hard to move shift lever

    Ranger Problems & Solutions
My 2015 570 MS Ranger crew is very hard to shift and in fact won't shift if the engine is running. I can stop the engine and it shifts smoothly. I disconnected the cable at the transmission and it shifts easily running or now. I'm trying to the get the dust shield off the the secondary and...

    Mid-Size Rangers
Maintenance has been done on schedule every time and air filters changed frequently. I'm running the paper filter for a while to see if more oil shows up in the air filter box.
