  3. Fuse Box Question

    Ranger Technical
Yes, you will still need individual relays for your accessories. See PM.
  4. Fuse Box Question

    Ranger Technical
Normally you would not use the Keyed Hot lug to power an accessory. Rather, use the Keyed Hot lug to activate a relay, which in turn complete the circuit allowing the accessory to utilize the 24 Hr Hot to power the accessory only when the key is on.
  5. Fuse Box Question

    Ranger Technical
If the bus bar is already wired, no need to run new cables from the battery. Power the new fuse box from the 3 OEM prewired lugs.
  6. Second battery placement

    Ranger XP 900 & 570 FS Discussions
Not sure where to mount them but if you are going to wire them parallel, both batteries must be identical. If you are going to put a battery isolator between them, they can be different.

  9. Pac 80 relay not working in cold weather

    Ranger Technical
Guys, this is kind of distributing to me since I originally recommended the PAC-80. For years now, there has seldom been any issues with them at all. I called the company to see if there were any changes in the manufacturing process or the materials. They called back a few hours later and...

X3....." Im having a hard time picturing the trans getting hot enough to blow your cv boots." Good advice above! Yeah, Toxic-21 is a pretty knowledgeable guy. He should be, after all, he was denied parole twice so that gave him plenty of time to read Polaris Service Manuals. Mike, you'll be glad to know that he going in for a fourth tooth! Should make him a lot less scary. Never-the-less, if any of you...
  14. 2017 XP900 lost lights and accessories check engine light on

    Ranger XP 900 & 570 FS Discussions
I believe that code has to do with the chassis relay. Swap the relays around and see if the problem doesn't move to another area of your machine. Check and clean the contacts on the relays and the sockets they plug into the best you can.
  15. Bringing back an Odyssey PC1200

    Ranger Discussions
g, sounds like you have a parasitic drain on your battery -- the more options you hang on your machine, the more likely some of them will draw a minute amount of power. The biggest culprit for this are radios. They usually have a wire (used to always be yellow) to keep your presets and the...

    Ranger XP 1000 Discussions
You have to stop to switch between low and high; you don't have to stop to switch between 2WD and 4WD, although your engine RPM has to be around 3300(?) or lower before it wii drop back into 2WD.
