09 crew 700 questions

hey guys, I have a 09 700 crew and I have some questions about aftermarket accessories.

as it is now, its pretty slow and doesn't have much bottom end. I was thinking a clutch kit would help? I put 26x9 and 26x11 tires on it and a 3" lift. what clutch kits do y'all prefer? I don't want to go crazy and replace the whole clutching system because i don't want to spend that much money. I was thinking maybe an epi clutch kit with severe duty belt? I'm down in florida and its mostly trail riding on sand and mud. what do y'all think?

are there any other mods you think I should do?

thanks for the help,
brad

It's a heavy machine with a relatively small engine. A good full clutch kit like DDP will help some, but to see any real changes you want to get into serious engine mods like the DDP 800 conversion with their performance cam, 800 head, bored throttle body, and fuel controller . A clutch kit by itself won't make a big difference, and a cheap kit won't do much at all.
How many miles? have you tried just the belt? Maybe rebuild your clutch.

i didn't know that ddp did all of that? i see it on bikemans website but not theirs. do you have any idea how much that would cost?

don't know miles off the top of my head but it only got like 80 hours on it. i know i need to replace the belt right now, my buddy smoked it the other day. should i go with an oem belt or should i get an aftermarket one? if so, who makes a good one? i think i may just replace the belt for now and do some more mods down the road if i don't sell it.

does anyone do appraisals on here?
WOW! 80hrs on an 09.....that's low. How fast does it go?
I just went and checked and its got 103 hrs and 1302 miles. so I was off a little haha. still pretty low for an 09 though. it did like 35 before my buddy smoked the belt. I haven't tried since then to get it to top speed.

What belt should I go with?
I'm a little out of touch with belts, back in the snowmobile days we preferred Dayco, I know Gates is ok as with stock Polaris. Top speed was rated @ 44 and any add-ons would affect that as would a bad belt, heck it might be the original with those hours.
awesome thanks for the help man. no its the second belt as far as i know. i think i am going to just get a gates belt for it unless anyone knows of a better one?
It's been quite a while since I did the DDP 800 conversion. It's not cheap, but I'd say check with Dale at DDP. 35 mph does seem bit low depending on whether you have a windshield and tire size. My two seat 09 XP with DDP 800 mods would do 60 mph.
just emailed ddp to see what they say.

another question i have is are there any bigger lifts out there for rangers with struts? maybe a lift that gets rid of the struts or somehow works with them to get more lift? I'm getting stuck out at my place more often than i would like. I'm also debating going with some 28" outlaws. thoughts?
