I have a 2007 700 xp ranger and I am going to get a windshield for it. What are the pro's and cons of a 1/2 vs a full windshield? My ranger is stock, nothing added to it. I use the ranger for stuff around the yard and trail riding. Nothing to wild, just rides around the lakes that changes from ditches to paved roads. It will be used for mowing trails a few times are year also.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

In MN, you're going to definitely want a full windshield if you use it in the winter.

Full.......better coverage and more protection from the elements, but it creates a vortex that causes a lot of dust to be sucked into the cab when conditions are dry. Because of that, I highly recommend using a back shield to cut down on the dust issue.

Half......obviously less coverage, but less dust.

In warm weather you won't want a full windshield. A half w/s & backglass is desired to redu.ce dust on you & passengers plus you won't "overheat" due to no air flow

Just bought a half windshield, tested all this dust "hype" out about it. Drove 10 miles of gravel with it on at various speeds and got same amount of dust in cab as I would without it. Just my 2 cents. Maybe different states have different "dust" I ran my test on Minnesota/iowa gravels. Great investment! (For my needs)

i live in hot weather and run a full windshield and back dust protector. Yeah it gets warm but when it's 100 plus in Texas heat windshield or not it's just plain ole hot. No dust issues.

Ok so I "think" I'm going to go with a full windshield because I need to block as much wind as possible for my wife. Also thinking about something for the back.
My question is this: Is there that much difference between the $200 windshield vs the $400 or $500 windshields? Same goes for tops....Plastic, Metal?

This is the backglass I made from 1/8" plexiglass. The camo is from Camowraps.
