I'm fixin to change the oil for the 1st time on my 700 xp. Anybody know what size allen wrench i need for the drain plug?

Yea, on mine it needed to be a 6.5mm (which of course they don't make). I used a 6mm, it was loose, but got the job done. Good luck, Mike

I think the Engine drain plug is 5/16 Allen if my memory serves me correctly. I found the 6MM to be a loose fit as well.

6mm would be REALY loose if 5/16 fits... I'm thinking 1/4 might be closer. I haven't done this myself yet as we only have 10 hours on our Ranger but by looking at the decimal equivalents:

6mm = .236"
1/4" = .25"
5/16" = .3125"

The earlier comment about needing a 6.5mm kind of goes along with my guess as well: 6.5mm = .256

I'd try a 1/4"... Good luck and let me know as I will be doing this in a few more hours myself! []
