Marty, A Sponsor here Motorcycle accessories, side by side, UTV parts. Quality components with superior customer service. Put me on to these Ricochet Rock Sliders recently and reading his comments on PRC that he is now selling these a friend and I ordered two sets for our 900 Rangers. On my 2013 900 Ranger I had previously installed the Pure Polaris OEM Nerf sliders. While they look nice they hung low outside the rail and offered no protection to the open areas right and left of the under carriage where sticks, rocks or any other object that could poke up through there. They also do not provide good side panel protection. These sliders along with the floor board filter plates that Marty sells do the job I wanted done. Protect that open area underneath and the frame sides. They come complete with good instructions and attaching hardware.

The Ricochet Rock Sliders fit the bill and are well designed for fit and finish covering the open areas in question as well as giving frame side protection. More importantly, I like the fit of the sliders that don't hang down. I am adding some photos here to show the installation. If you don't have a full after market skid plate I highly recommend you contacting Marty and purchasing the Rock Sliders and the Filler panels for each side that protects the floor board.

Thank you Marty for putting us on to these very nice Rock Sliders.

The outer rock sliders Ranger 570-900 Rock Slider Set - Ricochet are $143.99 which are a few dollars short of our free shipping. Give me a call or order more stuff and I'll make sure it ships free for the fine PRC folks.

The inner bash plates (underwear) are $134.00 and are here Polaris Ranger Bash Plates-Full Size

I thank you Ken for the post. As always, it's a pleasure to help you and the others here.

The other area of concern for me is the engine rear transmission-diff area. The OEM shield is rather feeble. Last spring on a run at Charleau Gap Near Tucson I was going down a steep long grade and trying to do the Texas Two Step for engine braking I came down hard on a rock right under the so called protective shield. It bent very easily and I really had to work at getting it straighten out. Spoke with Marty and he is looking into having Ricochet fab a plate for that area. I think if you not running full armor on the bottom this shield along with the filler plates, and rock sliders Marty is selling is a must. Btw I would have loved to had the Duraclutch installed at that time. It takes care of the engine braking issue. I now just idle down the steep trails. Sweet! :fat:

Slim so far it has been the best upgrade I could have done to the 900. I love the engine braking. It is awesome in that respect! The other is the ability to inch up and over obstacles without fear of slipping or burning a belt. It it so smooth now with that constant belt tension it seems like we now have a fully automatic transmission. No belt slap or squeal when power is applied on a steep rough grade, etc. After about 75 hours I have virtually no complaints. Some have questioned a whine of sorts, but for me from what I hear is not far from normal with these Rangers. The torque on take off is great too. Top end I can still hit 60 mph before the rev limiter kicks in. So to answer you question I love it. Some where in the future I expect to see these incorporated at the factory. Another issue we won't have to deal with on a Duraclutch is that non -breaking bearing that fails at times with OEM primary clutch. On my 700 2009 in 1500 hours I have had to replace one complete primary clutch and have done two rebuilds on the other primary failures. I forgot to mention the Duraclutch has a much more beefy primary and secondary clutches. The drive belt goes on much easier as they provide a tool that is used to expand the clutch halves to facilitate installing the drive belt. Once you start the engine the belt immediately goes under tension. It is a fantastic clutch and some thing I have been wanting for my 900 for a long time.

Ken and I had a good maintenance day on pie day (3.14150956). full lube service and fluid change for under $400.00.
After that we (Ken) installed my new rock sliders and differential plate from Marty. This stuff is the bomb. very precisely created and fits like a very tight glove and thick enough to provide much needed protection. thanks Ken and thanks Marty.
