I purchased a light bar for my dad's 2012 800. Those of you with this body style...where did you mount your 20" light bar? Would like to see some pictures so that I can get some ideas on where I'll mount his. Thanks!

Thanks guys for the input and photos. I've never thought of mounting a 20" on the roof area. Do you still get lots of light with that small of a light bar up that high? I'm still new to the light bars, so I don't know...

Yes, and better light than the headlights give you. I have a 12" LED at the top of my windshield, and it makes it look like daytime, almost. I don't have any close up pics but plan how you mount it before you buy it. Different light manufacturers use different mount option of each size, (length) bar. This is a Kawell, sliding mount built into the light housing, and a 1.75" tube clamp (2) each.

Does he have a windshield, glass or Lexan?

He does have the windshield that's split and pushes out at the bottom. Was thinking about mounting the light bar at the top of the hood (close to the windshield). I've seen several like this with plenty of excess wire under the hood.. so that when you take the hood off, the the light is still attached to the hood and plenty of wire is strung out to lay the hood on the seat or where ever. Just another option. I still have time to decide... Thanks again for the input!

Mike, what size is the top light bar and where did you get it? Also, any chance you have a photo of how you wired everything -battery, fuse block, etc? I am getting ready to add another light bar and after copying some of your other mods, I am asking, "what would mtimesplitter do?"
