I am new to this thread and i'm looking for help or ideas for my snowmobile clubs ranger. We use a 2010 ranger XP 800 to pull a drag for grooming our trails, we also have the Prospector pro tracks. We are now on our third differential unit for the front end. I was told their is no heavy duty one for aftermarket and these things are getting pricey for our club here in New York. We just had it serviced and was told all is good then as in past 2 times start hearing a clicking sound in front end then before we can get back home it lets go inside. When we are grooming we have to run ranger in low rang and then it runs around 4200-4600rpm near constantly while pulling the drag, i know this is a lot of stress on the machine, what are your inputs?
Thank you i just gave them a call! i've been told from our locally dealer that only one is this Polaris HD diff that we wasted 2 times now..... with our grag and the tracks it really puts a hurting on that diff. Also the gentlemen on phone was very informative on what makes them fail too, thank you!
