I have a 2010 Ranger Crew 800 and the belt started to squeal a few months ago. I changed the belt and it still squeals. I noticed that the transmission gear shift is also hard to put into gear. Just wondering if anyone can give me any suggestion on what to do/check/repair or replace to stop the noise.

Just a guess but it may be the bearing in the primary clutch has gone bad.

FD, pyromedic is spot on. The primary on thoses clutches has a needle bearing filled roller bearing that the belt rides on that eventually go away causing those symptoms. Hunterworks has some good videos and can fix you up with a new one. I keep a spare on hand here for the 2009 and up Rangers HD Primary Bearing Video
