Helping an older non tech savvy gentelmen with his 2013 800 crew. He runs some long county dirt roads and is asking me to help with top speed. He is not welthy but can spend what needs spent to get it right. He was looking to spend 3 to 4 hundred. I am thinking it will end up more.

I will remov the restictor plate this weekend after joining this forum.

The serching I have done comes up with this

Any one using this or can recomend a user frindly unit. I can solder and all that for the install, I am just looking for a trouble free unit after I install it for him. we are almost 100 miles apart so it will be a weekend install and back home. not a lot of time for tinkering and the like.

The crew is limited to like 50mph, you should be able to get the xp900 computer or something like that, i dont remember, but its not worth it, like 8mph difference?

900 ecu isn't gonna work on an 800....BUT, on a 900, its worth 10mph for $349, which imo, IS worth it.

this one stops at 45 on the flat roads. And I mean 45, not even 46 on the slight down hill.. 45 seems SO slow on a 2 mile long flat road!
