So after beating my brains out, I decided to go back to basics. Checked spark, Good. Fuel 58 psi, Compression 155=-.
Then I decided to check for air leaks. Fired the engine up and sprayed some brake cleaner around the throttle body. WHAM, engine shut down. Sucking air where it connects to the head. Made a gasket (while waiting for new intake manifold boot). I fired it up and I now have a code (102) which I think is the T MAP sensor. So my question is if i'm getting 5 volts to the sensor (orange wire) and continuity from TMAP connector to at least 18 inches up the wire bundle.
Should I be looking at replacing the sensor or the pig tail? I really don't know how to test the TMAP sensor.
Anyone have any in site on what direction I should go?
