Hello I am new to the ranger and I have a 2015 570. I have received an error code (520338 with 31 below it) a few times and am really wanting to know what the problem is any help is greatly appreciated!

That appears to be a fairly new code - my list of codes only goes up to 520270. A quick call your dealers service dept. should solve the mystery!

I called the dealer today and was told it is the speed sensor they told me that even a little slip of a tire can trip that code and to not worry about it unless it stays on!

my dealer told me that code was due to fouled plug from hard starting and short drives. it required a software update to eliminate the check engine light

Do you know what's involved in the software update? Presume the dealer has to do it? I got a Check Engine message one time on my new ETX - turned off the key and next time I started it didn't reappear. Hoping it was just a glitch that doesn't happen again.

Dealer has to connect unit to computer and reflash ecu. Check manufacturer date on tag under seat and storage on passenger side of unit. It will need it if before Jan ?? 2015. Can't remember the day. Sorry
