Hi Fellas,

I finally got my 15 900xp, coming off a 2012 800xp..............love the 900 so far.................quick question about low range, when I had my 800 I used low range for plowing all the time or just puttering around when going slow at the house, the 2015 900xp low range seems like it is geared lower than the 800 was, almost too low, anyone know the ratios between the two ? Are the 2013-14 900's low range ratio the same as the 2015 900's ? Or maybe the 900 has so much low speed torque in high range that I'm being thrown off....................cheers

Interesting question. Now that you mention it, I wonder which is geared the lowest.

Nothing to compare to since I'm a new 2015 900 owner, but I also feel like low range gearing is really on the low side. You really have to wind it out to get any more than a creep. So I rarely use it except when under some kind of load. Mine only has 25" tires, so I'm thinking low may more more usable after upsizing tires to 28's or 30's. Plan on doing that soon...
