Trying to decide on portals for my unit. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on which ones to go with, GDP or High Lifter. Any one have pros and cons of both?

What size portals and tires do you plan on running?

Had no problems with the gdp I ran for around 2500 miles.

Be aware they are not a slap on and go mod. You need to build the machine around them. Plan on another 1500 in parts minimum.

I’m currently on a 6in lift with 22in wheels and 35in tires. I have a gear reduction in the transmission and a gilomen clutch kit designed around lift and tires. But, I keep breaking parts in the tranny, so deciding to get portals and was wondering who is the better built brand or over all better quality. I have upgraded equipment all around this buggy just never decided to get portals until now.

Really can't go wrong with either. Satv does really well with their warranty if your the original purchaser of them. Be sure to run front and rear frame stiffeners if you don't have them already. Trac bars if you go to 6" boxes. Keller ball joints. And tcp rack when the stock takes a crap.

Ok, thank you for your feedback, looking like more going towards the SATV, definitely need the frame stiffeners, already have the bigger Keller ball joints and heavy duty tie rods and ends. Will definitely check into the tcp rack you mentioned. I do still have factory but with turning stop blocks so it doesn’t turn sharp. All the upgrades I have are from SATV, so it only seems I should stick with it.

If you end up getting new rims. Go with a 6-1 offset. It will bring the tires back in and reduce bump steer and your rack will live longer.
For the ultimate long travel setup. Remove the lift brackets that came with the 6" lift. And get a set of 814's mid travel shocks. Or rzr front shocks all the way around
