I've been wanting to get a 570 Full size Ranger. I'm trying to keep the cost down and want advice on what accessories are a must or definitely should be upgraded.

Primary uses:

snow removal
ice fishing
firewood hauling
pulling dock in and out
trailcutting
food plot

I will be hauling it to and from my cabin at hwy speeds on an open 6x12 trailer. Here's what I'm thinking for accessories:

1. steel roof (is poly ok?)
2. snow plow kit (includes 4500# winch with synthetic cable) --is steel blade better than poly?
3. glass windshield
4. poly rear window
5. canvas doors
6. heater/defrost kit
7. windshield wiper kit
8. 13" LED light bar

I'd especially appreciate opinions of guys from up North that run these in -20's etc. Will I regret the canvas doors/poly rear window for trailering?

Thanks!

The new soft doors seem nice. For the $50 difference I would get the glass back window.

Thanks for the replies.

Do you think I'd regret the soft doors? Can you trailer with them? I'm imagining trailering on the hwy to go ice fishing and having to take the doors off then getting to the lake and dorking with putting them back on with frozen fingers...

Just met with a coupe dealers yesterday, I have it configured as follows:

2015 570 Full Size
poly roof
canvas doors
glass windshield
heater kit
wiper kit
poly rear (I know it's only $50 more for glass but he brought up the point that less chance of shattering with stuff in bed and I need to cut costs somewhere)
13" light bar
4500lbs winch synthetic rope

This is the part I'm struggling with:

Glacier II plow system with steel blade

Can I get the hydralic angle adjuster with the Glacier II or do i need the Glacier Pro? Will I regret not getting Glacier Pro?? I can see a huge pain getting out to adjust plow angle if striping back and forth in Minnesota when it's dark and cold out...

Thanks!

Are you looking to finance the whole deal? If not I would look for an aftermarket plow setup and save a few bucks there.
Yes--looking to finance 100%. With these low interest rates and I'm building a house currently (which is why I need a Ranger for snow clearance) and I'm in an apt and won't be moving to my house till Nov (snow season) so I want a machine all ready to go, it only makes sense to get everything from my dealer. I realize the parts can be more expensive from Polaris dealer than aftermarket, but it just makes sense to go that route right now.

I have a 570 fs with the glacier pro plow system all hydro "up down left right". Also have a plow on a gator with manual left right. Hands down I love the glacier pro plow system.......only thing with is that it does have down pressure so be careful on gravel road how much pressure u use and not tip the blade. You get the hang of it pretty quick. Hope this helps...
