I was just curious if anyone knows if the pins in the TBAP plug on the 700's, can be removed and new wires inserted in lieu of a aftermarket repair harness ? Anyone ever complete a successful repair ? Thanks in advance for any information..:encouragement:

Kris, I think those are Metri-Pack connectors ( Delphi Metri-Pack Connectors ). Pin removal tool looks like this Metri Pack Crimper - 280 but I think you could probably use a jewelers screwdriver as well. Just a guess on my part - haven't actually messed with them.

Non wire. Gotta kinda wiggle the wire/pin in & out at the same time. It's sorta like a barb on a hook, only springy :)

Oops - could be either way. If the connector is "tangless," (bottom inset) you would come in from the wire end; if it has a "tang," (top of the pic)you would come in from the non-wire end. Not sure which the TBAP uses.
