while hooking up some spot lights this weekend ,i found a 9 volt batt connector taped to the wiring harness on rt side under hood compartment. anybody know what it goes to. 07 6x6 thanks rob.

It is for the cumputer hook up when they run a test on your ranger. They put the battery in it so it has constant power for the test. Hope this helps.

It is power for Ranger dealers to put a battery on for testing electronics on the Ranger just keep it clean.[:0][][]

I came across this too, while installing some HID lights on my ranger, Well, being a Rocket Scientist and all, I plugged a 9 volt battery into the connection. 3 hours later, when I went to start my Ranger, and check out my new lights.....crank but no start. The good news is it only took 2 beers, 1 cigar, and 32 minutes to figure it out. Wow, that was close!
