I've been looking at attachments for road grading some more, and came across the ABI implements.
You think the XP 900 is capable of pulling these (in low of course) without risking any damage.
Not talking about using it commercially, just a few times a year to manage a gravel driveway and a 1/2 mile dirt/sand road into the property.

"Tractor" option, but HP wise...the 900 has enough:
TR3® Rake - Tractor Implement - ABI Attachments

Vehicle Lawn Soil Grass Agricultural machinery

"UTV" option, 900 should be fine with this, but might be undersized?
ATV Driveway Graders - Gravel Rascal® - ABI Attachments

Vehicle All-terrain vehicle Automotive tire Tire Soil

I see no problem with the "UTV" option, the "Tractor" option you would need a 3 point hitch of some sort. I'm not sure about the availability of a 3 point hitch for your machine.

2nd picture is being pulled by 4wheeler.

I have pulled a 8foot drag, no problem.

You should have no troble pulling one.

Yeah I guess it's mainly that first option, is a 2015 capable of pulling something like that or best to avoid something that is "tractor" made and might be too heavy (although it is within the towing limitations of the Ranger)?

Should be no problem. There is a 3 point hitch available. Check cabelas. I know guys that pull a 6 row plow in soft ground with a 570 fullsize

I've been looking for one of these also. I have a Monroe Tufline ATV rake. Actually I should say, I had one. I sold it. It was an older model and worked great on gravel driveways. Except for EVERY time that I used it I lost a tine, or one or more of them would loosen up. Even when I double nutted and used nylock nuts. Even had a buddy spot weld each tine on both sides. Maybe I shouldn't have tried using it on my yard as well, but it is a rake. I didn't find it to be very heavy duty because of this. So it's sold! Looking for something better for my new Ranger to pull. But I pulled that 52" 200 pound rake with my Sportsman 400 and my golf cart with no problem. So the Ranger 900 should pull it with ease. The Ranger can handle those loads its just the Kolpin Dirtworks 3 point hitch has load limits also. I didn't look at the weights of those attachements. I don't see any reason the Ranger wouldn't handle either of them.

Looking at the weight of the tractor attachment (616-1,230 pounds), they are pretty heavy, even the lightest one. The Kolpin 3 point hitch only lifts 250 pounds, so that looks like a NO GO! But the Ranger still would pull any of them. I would go with one of the larger UTV models and you should be fine. They have electric motors to lift them up and down.

I don't want to sound like a snob, but to me those are worthless toys like the DR grader etc. I'd sooner drag an I beam or build a simple drag to pull on the driveway. A nice HD chain harrow will do wonders too.

That said, I have a Harley T6 power box rake that I use behind my Deere CUT that REALLY works nice.

Did a little searching, found this thread and thought I'd bring it back to life. I currently use two old drag harrows with tires on them to level out some driveways. Teeth side down to break driveway up and flip over to level it out. Looking at another weld/fab project as always. All our tractors are too big for this task, so that's why I use the ranger. Question, would the ranger pull something like this? Thinking it might weigh ~600lbs maybe when all said and done...
It's a Tufline LP3 land grader

I'm thinking about 5' wide, with trailer hitch style hook up and a couple wheels I can lever up and down and or remove to move it around when not grading. Maybe a shelf up top I can add cinder blocks if needed...

What are your thoughts guys?
Thanks

I'm sorry but I look at that as a pure tractor implement. Maybe that's because we currently have 3 different size tractors and everyone of them could do the task of a drive way. Unless you have all 200 HP tractors around haha

New to the site. I actually have the ABI Arena Rascal that I drag a horse arena with using my 900. Works great. We ride reining horse and proper footing is paramount to the horses safety and this combo works perfectly.

Close, 185hp and up for all the row crop tractors. Could use one of the smaller loaders we have for around the dairy barn, but prefer to not have to borrow if I don't need to... and I like to challenge the ranger from time to time to see what it can do.

If you hate your Ranger this is a great idea.
I don't "hate my ranger" I bought it to have some fun on AND use it to do some actual work. The question was, could it do a task like this, not I'm doing this and I hope it destroys it. Some like to leave theirs in the garage to look at... to each their own.

And then some don't want to destroy the hitch that is WELDED to the frame.....

Edit: You may know how to weld but a bent frame is nothing a person wants to deal with ether.

I think Polaris or some other place Northern tool or somewhere sells a 3 pt hitch for an atv/sxs. Then they have atv implements of proper size and weight. I have a tractor and if you have a 600 lb box scraper or some other implement you really need a tractor to use it properly and safely unless its made for a sxs/atv.

Holy ****. Am I currently doing this?? No. It was a question of the rangers abilities. Thinking up a design that would suit the rangers frame. Never mind... sorry I asked. I'll just stay as an observer on this site and not post my projects.

Please continue posting your projects and questions.

The 900 would have no problem pulling it, with your idea of reducing its width and adding wheels, will help to alleviate some of the stress on the unit.
One of the big problems is with the 900 receiver hitch. It is not designed/fabricated very well. Members have bent/broke the rear hitch from pulling implements with it ( granted, several variables here). It is definitely a serious weak point.

That's all I was saying was if your gonna add weight and put the stress there IMO is a bad idea. I still would like to see your idea that's for sure.
