Lets say if I ride for a little while its real hard to shift gears, and
sometimes I have to turn my ranger off to put it in another gear. It has about 46 hours on the bike.[?]

Bobby,
On the carb 500's it was easy, just slow the idle down real low and all is good. If it idles to high the clutches are partially engaged making it difficult for the trans to shift.

Make it as slow as you can without the engine stalling, that will help alot.

BTW add the info of your Ranger in your "Bio" so that when you have a question we know what model it is.
