I have a major air leak into the cab on my 900 Ranger EPS. The air come up through the slot for the for the steering column. I have used a strong light on the front side of the firewall and found a few places to plug but the air still comes in especially when driving into the wind. The grommets for the steering shaft appear to be tight enough as well as the brake plunger. not enough gap to cause my major air leak. Any help?

If you take the top of your dash off you will find plenty of places where air can come in around your head lights etc if its the same as my xp 900. There are a couple of large spaces behind the cup holders that I stuffed foam in.

As mentioned there are several areas under the dash where air and dirt can come in. What I did I went to Home Depot bought a bag of cheap sponges for $10 along with some duck tape and filled in the areas where the leaks found. It works rather well. I was not going to spend $200 for a seal kit that like so many others Polaris has sold that would not do the job.

I bought my foam in a 2" thick sheet for about $20 at the big box store and cut to size to fill any voids I could find. One of the projects on my to do list is to make a slide tray for my (future) bed box and have a form filled tray of most used tools. Easy to hand and not rattling around in the bottom of the bed box or in one of several tool bags I have.

I have pulled the entire dash out of 5 or 6 900 rangers and used spray foam to fill all the gaps....MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE.
