Since it was cold and raining, I decided to detail the ole Ranger and get it all cleaned up. After washing in the rain, I pulled it in the garage and dried it off and started experimenting with different stuff to shine it up. I found the Mothers Back to Black stuff works real good on all the rough, black finish parts like the bed and dash. Durability remains to be seen, but its shining like a new penny right now.

Nice looking clean up. Does any of the cleanering stuff you guys use attract dirt and dust? To me the look doesn't last long enough to justify the effort when I drive it across a field and its dirty again.

Not meaning to HiJack your post, but,
never went to bristol, always wanted to. Used to go to Daytona in February, and the Brickyard in August. Like you guys, I don't even know the drivers these days. Never watch it cuz if its raining on a Sunday afternoon, I turn on the race and watch horizontal for about 3 laps/minutes, usually wake up near the end. Otherwise, I'm outside.

Which cover all do you use? I looked it up on Oreillys website and the have some colored blue, some clear, and a couple different aerosols.

I just installed a large air compressor in the garage and had to move the picture of "the Intimidator". I just haven't got around to hanging it back up! I'll have to try the cover all stuff. Is it like spray on tire shine?

It's a silicone spray. Once it's on when mud or water gets on the buggy it just rolls off. It's the best out there

I gotta say the stuff works. I like SC1 but the cover all at half the price per can is where it's at.

I don't see how anybody could ever make any money cleaning these things I spent probably 6+ hours cleaning and I still see a lot of missed spots underneath. It was extremely dirty when I started though I pressure washed for a hour and a half. I gotta get to making me some more mud blockers.
