Please see the picture below. I am needing to know what the thing circled in red is. Also, I am trying to figure out where to put the 2 wires that are pulled out. I need to know what goes to what. Blue to red or blue to white??

Thanks in advance

Not sure if makes a difference or not. The White wire goes to the key switch and the other one goes to the brake switch (at least, that's how it works on an '11 800) so the solenoid must ground via the mounting screws. On my 800, the blue wire connects to the white wire. If that doesn't work, switch them! Also, like WagZ says, that's a big ole spark waiting to happen be sure to disconnect your battery before you start working on it!! the part # for the solenoid is PROBABLY 4012001 but since you didn't specify your year, I'm not positive. PLEASE (EVERYBODY!!), put your Model and Year in your signature file--it's makes it a whole lot easier for other members to help you out!!! ;)

I looked at mine ('13 500) and the blue wire that is pulled out goes to the red with the blue or purple tracer. The Yellow one that is pulled out goes to the white with the red tracer. You may be able to get those terminals to clip back into the weather pack connector, but if there is any question I would replace the solenoid. You certainly dont want a hot wire pulling out while you are riding and causing a fire! What caused them to pull out in the first place?

Yes, I'm going to replace it... that's why I'm asking what it is.

What happened you ask? I have a full size battery mounted just under the stock location. A stump hit the battery and knocked it out, did this mess in the process.
