Looks like starter solenoid to me... does it crank over? Ill bet it dont haha.
i dont THINK it matters which ones go to which color... i believe it just completes the circuit.. but i could be wrong.... Also, your gonna want to replace that.. it bangs around and makes frame contact, you'll have sparks and crap flying...maybe even some fire and explosions!
Not sure if makes a difference or not. The White wire goes to the key switch and the other one goes to the brake switch (at least, that's how it works on an '11 800) so the solenoid must ground via the mounting screws. On my 800, the blue wire connects to the white wire. If that doesn't work, switch them! Also, like WagZ says, that's a big ole spark waiting to happen
be sure to disconnect your battery before you start working on it!! the part # for the solenoid is PROBABLY 4012001 but since you didn't specify your year, I'm not positive. PLEASE
