Call Mike or Dan on Monday and see what they say. I think they need to do some testing with the cover housing off so they can see if the belt is binding etc...

The 4 hours Mark mentioned is actually on a second belt. Mark was riding up the road a few weeks ago when the original belt blew into tiny bits. He only had 20 some hours on it. So he just had this new belt put on and I guess today it to went boom! I don't understand it. He by no means is hard on his Ranger. A little bit of easy trail riding and some road riding. Both times that he's lost a belt he's been riding on the road. It sure sounds like some clutch alignment issues if ya ask me. He's got a good dealer so I'm sure he'll be taken care of.

Brian I agree, Mark told me that they aligned his clutch the first time it went, but if his motormount has been replaced I don't know how it could be anything other than an alignent issue.
Mark, I have left you a phone message.

Hey guys its late, I just got in. I called my dealer on his cell and he said if I would bring it up this evening that he would look into it first thing Monday Morning and he had business about 2 miles from the plant that I work at on Monday afternoon and he would bring it back to me around 3 pm so I took off for the Dealer tonight.

Mark, is that the 2nd broken mount? If it is, is he using the new mounts that Polaris advised the dealers to use?

sorry to hear about your belt, I know how ya feel. At least you didnt have to walk far and had a dealer to take care of things. Us on the other hand were 150 or so miles from home had a belt vaporize (while riding on the road none the less) and luckily pushed it back to camp!!! 1/2 hour sooner or 1/2 hour later it would have meant a LONG WALK BACK!!!

I will be checking this motor mount as well when I get home.

I thought that this motor mount issue was just on the 07 models but it's obvious now that some of the 06 models have the same problem.

No Curt the first time it did not appear broke, and they checked the clutch and then after clutch alignment and a few more hours the mount went.
