I'm wondering if anyone has experience with Skyjacker 2" forward a-arms for the 800 Ranger? I can find complete kits for $365 which includes arms, bumper relocation brackets, steering stops, and nice upper shock mount brackets. The kit looks well thought out. They aren't arched but I don't care about that too much.

10-12 Polaris Ranger A-Arm Kit / Skyjacker Suspensions

I'm trying to talk myself out of moving all my a-arm mounts forward 2".

I do not have any personal experience with them, but I have looked at them.
Their shock forward mount is better than any of the other mfg's. But I do not like shock forward mounts, I do not have any technical data to give you, but the torsional twist that it puts on the shock mount, can cause it to bend/twist and possibly break. The shock mounts were designed for vertical force not torsional.
It will not be instantly, but over time I think you will see it.
Also, unless they located the upper shock mounting holes lower or raised the A arm mounting location, your unit will have a forward rake angle. Due the shock mounting bolt angle that the shock forward mount will have to follow.

Side Note: Backwoods Armor used the same principle, but abandoned this design a couple of years ago for the same reasons I mentioned.

If a person was going to add say a 2 inch or 3 inch lift . Would you use forward arched a arms to accomplish that or a lift kit. Curious what would be the best option for less failure and problems.. Machine 2015 ranger 900xp

On the 900 Ranger, forward arms will afford more tire clearance than a lift. Using 2" forward arms will clear tires up to 29", and will clear 30's if you crank up the shocks and don't have a Crew.

Brian, my comments refer to the Polaris Ranger 2009 700's to the present 800's.

I agree that the upper shock mounts look like the best out there, but I would still weld in an additional brace running across to tie the sides together. I was wondering more about the fit and finish of the a-arms. The price seems good considering everyone else is $500+.

Not sure on fit, but the finished product looked good.

Thanks for the reply I guess. Should have started a thread instead of hijacking this one. Mine is the regular 900xp. I have a option to buy some brand new backwoods armour forward a arms with built In 2 inch lift for 175 new in box. The only thing I want to accomplish is slightly more ground clearance. I am running 26 maxis big horn . Sky jacker certainly has been around awhile

The A arms with the built in lift will work, then you will need a bracket lift ( prefer upper style) to raise the rear.
Or adjust the preload on the rear to help level it out. Most members are running less lift in the rear than front, and stated in this manner the unit is level ( example: 3' inches in the front, 2 in the rear).
