As you can guess, I have an '05 700 XP. Under load and when starting from a stop, it sounds like it is spinning a bearing or something. I have rebuilt the primary clutch, I thought there could possibly have been slop in it, but the noise persists. Could it be the secondary? I don't see many threads of secondary clutches going bad or making noise. I am beginning to think it cold be the U-Joints in the prop shafts. How often do the prop shafts go bad?

XP, "Under load and when starting from a stop "

without hearing it it is a tough call. It could be anything but it is possible a chain in the transmission has stretched . I would dump the AGL and check for metal. A Youtube with the noise would help... Cracked heat shields over the exhaust will even sound like the engine/trans is coming a part ....
