Guys I'm installing the full Outkast 3" lift on my Ranger and would like some recommendations on some replacement axles. I'm also planning to add limiting straps to be safe but really think i need to upgrade the axles at-least on the front. I have looked at the Rhino brand and seems like a lot of people running them. I'm just wondering how to know what size to order. Do they come in different lengths or stock length and just "beefier"? I seen on Highlifter website that they say +6?

Yes. You only need the + length axles if you have the larger lifts, 5" and up. You will still run stock length axles with the 3" Outkast. I would just get the ADR axles from Super ATV instead of the Rhinos. They are the same axles and will even come in a Rhino box. The difference is the warranty, 2 months vs 12 months. So just decide if 10 months extra warranty per axle is worth $80 per axle.

Expat, SATV says the ADR and Rhinos are different in the joint. Have no idea if that's true as I have no experience with either. I've just learned while trying to figure out what axle I would like to run. If what you say is indeed true, I will be getting the ADR.

Yes I have read that...many others dispute it and I have read where some SATV guys at events have admitted they are the same. The ADRs do indeed come in a Rhino box. I have read where SATV says this is because the Rhino boxes are better... I know for a fact that the ADRs ordered for a 900 are much heavier than the stock axles. My buddy got some 2 weeks ago. So the water is still muddy on this one, so I guess it depends on how much money do you want to spend..

I did not know this. I will do that then. I hope 16" Limiting straps will remove to much drop so the fronts will be ok. But i am a long ways from a "mud rider". Mainly Hunting and farm work. I will show off every now and then with liquid courage, but thats about it. So maybe i will be ok with axles.

Just a quick questions tho. With the 3" Outkast Lift can i also add the highlifter 3" to it. Then will i need longer axles if this is even possible.

Not recommended at all as it would give you an excessive CV angle. If you want 6" of lift you are best to go with a long travel kit such as the ones Super ATV and others sell. Those kits come with the longer axles.

A way better option than Rhinos is cobras. They are a way better axle.

DO not run limiting strap! Ounce you change axles you don't need them. There isn't any point of putting a lift and big tires on your Ranger if your just going to limit your suspenion travel. I run a 4" and 31" Outlaws with rhinos up fronts and cobras in the rear for over a year now without a single issues. I put cobras on the rear due to the shafts breaking on my Rhinos.

Yes. Im only doing the limiting straps to save my stock axles. Im really only installing the lift for the bigger tires and looks mostly. As im not into mudding and tearing my stuff up. Haha
