Bandit Shocks
Has anyone tried these on their Ranger? I have a buddy that's getting ready to buy a set for his teryx and he told me they sell them for rangers too.

looks like their in Michigan, so wouldn't be to far for you. I think I'm going to see how my buddy likes his before I try them out.
For $1,100 versus $2,000...if there good it would be worth it! Let me know how your buddy likes them.
I've ordered a set, just waiting on them to show up. Ted (the owner) is a nice guy and very knowledgeable. These should be on the same line as the Elka's that Dragonfire is selling for a fraction of the price.
I told him I'd do a write up but it may be a couple of weeks. I'll be in the lower 48 next weekend for a few days and don't know if I'll have a chance to get it done before I leave.

I noticed under the description (for Ranger xp900) on bandits website the shock springs are 240lb front and 280lb rear. does anyone know what the stock shock springs are in comparison?

This is correct if your OEM springs are cloud silver, which it looks to be in your signature.
so if the springs are softer front and rear stock.....wouldn't or shouldn't the ride be more plush with stock shocks?.....I'm not an expert, just wondering.
Springs are easily changeable to set ride height, the advantage of a better shock is the rebound control to eliminate the pogo stick characteristics of the emulsion shocks with no rebound control...controlling the rebound is what will give you a premium ride quality...so if the springs are softer front and rear stock.....wouldn't or shouldn't the ride be more plush with stock shocks?.....I'm not an expert, just wondering.
I carry heavy loads of fire wood and stuff on the farm, will the bandit shocks with stiffer springs keep the ride height higher while loaded as compared to stock? right now my stock shocks sag quite a bit when loaded. but I do have the spring preload on the softest. I'd love to find a shock that would work as well as it would play. it just seems like most shocks are suited to performance....understandably so, rather than work and a plush ride.

Not that I'd benefit from it at all, but let him know that Bryan from AK told you to contact him, he may see the advantage of becoming a sponsor here on PRC. I told him there were a lot of folks wanting quality shocks at a reasonable price and he can fill that niche.
