Since Winter is upon us, with the added drain on batteries, I figured I would share my back-up plan for a weak or dead battery.
Rockford Consumer Products makes a Lithium Ion hand sized Jump Starter (6.5" ×3"× 1.25") , p/n. RFDPPJS2976DLX.
The carrying case with all leads, charger etc , is 10"×7"× 2". This is NOT a battery replacement, but a jump starter for weak or dead battery that your charging system can maintain once started.
I bought mine at CarQuest Auto parts , around $115. It will also charge phones, tablets .I would send pix, but the kb range listed for forum pix is smaller than my phone file size reduction .
Anyway, I tested by running battery down, then jumped it; worked ! This will fit in glovebox, great peace of mind item.
Remember, NOT an auxiliary battery, but a jump start for discharged or weak batteries .
Beats walking !

Yes, mine is black, otherwise appears same. Pix worth thousand words ! I can't read label to tell if it is a Rockford or a "similar" brand. They are great, watch Rockford YouTube jump starting.

Hmmmm. I didn't research these enough to see the differences before my purchase.

For 10 more dollars you got 3x the amperage, 3x the weight. That must the reason one is called "portable" and the other "personal". Good to have options.
