First I'll say what I planning on doing and then hopefully someone will have a suggestion.
I would like to run a dual battery system on my 2011 ranger 800 6x6. I'll be putting a winch on it and a few light bars, probably in the area of a 24" on the front and a 10" on the rear with a couple of them little ones on the sides. Not all the lights will be used at the same time and if I'm lucky I'll never need to use the winch. But I would like the dual battery system for piece of mind. I have been stranded in the past because of a dead battery.
I am hoping someone can recomend a good battery that will fit in the factory battery tray area in the front, there is also a space next to it for a winch battery. Also is there a good isolater that will auto matically switch the batteries back and forth to keep them both charged? Any suggestions for brands, manufactors and where to get these items would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
