I am relatively new to using a battery tender and installed one just because accessing the battery on my 570 is difficult as it is located under the rear storage box. As shown below, I just routed the quick connector up with a zip tie and can easily lift the seat and plug it up. I didn't necessarily purchase the tender to expect an increase in battery life, but know keeping one fully charged is a good thing for a number of reasons.
So, I'm curious, when using a battery tender how much more life if any do you really see out of a battery?
I got 8 yrs out of a battery on one of my ATV, 2006 to 2014 keeping it on the battery tender 24/7. Going on 5 yrs on my tractor which is only used to blow snow and sits unused from about April to Nov.
Tender Jr for smaller batteries, the 1.25 amp for larger (Large H-D battery, or Ranger 900) batteries. My 2006 Streetglide battery lasted just short of 8 years, in that time I managed to only put 11,000 miles on it, so you see how much I rode it. I left it hooked up all the time.
