Well boys, as I mentioned on another post,I said I'd keep you updated on the 700xp belt issue............The 1st belt went at 84hrs & 650 miles, the dealer chalked it up as a defective belt, I had mentioed the engine mounts & I was told they were ok as was the alignment etc.............I now have my doubts that the mounts were even looked at..........Belt # 2 went with less than 2hrs of use...............There is something obviously wrong here, the machine was perfect up until 84hrs & now it's not worth it's weight in gold............ If you guys in the states know of a recall or bulletin for the motor mounts, please let us know up here in Canada............thanks again for a great informative site........[:)]

Peter,

Check the link below for parts information. Polaris has told us that they have the utmost confidence in the replacement motor mount The Napa part is actually a Ford Falcon transmission mount.

Thanks for the info guys............ElecTech, are you saying Polaris is admitting a problem with the original mounts or are you stating Polaris is ok with us changing to the NAPA mounts, or both ?
cheers..........[:)]

the one that is braking is the bottom mount and you only need one, but they are like $6.00 ea.so it won't hurt to have a couple.Napa Falcon transmission mount............602-1069 replacement for Polaris factory motor mount
O'Reilly replacement motor mount..........2172 same as Napa part
See this link for a picture showing how to check the motormount http://www.prcforum.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=278

One other thing to consider is the adjustable rubber stop under motor on drivers side. As you should know and you may, its purpose is to prevent the motor from shifting to the left under torque. If there to much side shift in the motor I am to beleive that the clutches will become out of align and stress the belt.
