Well, yesterday marked the beginning of the biking trips this season for us. We have 2 really great trail systems within 90 minutes of us and they are fairly easy to ride. One of them, the Virginia Creeper is 34 miles long and we have rode the entire length of it. Yes, at one time!! Yesterday, we did the New River trail (Shot Tower) and we rode 9.5 miles. It was Emily's first ride away from home and I was proud that she held up the entire way. Those first rides of the year are always killers on the back side though!!! This particular trail is 57 miles long and we plan to ride the whole length one day. We should be able to do it in a nice long day of riding.
