I've recently purchased a Ranger XP 1000. I've been looking to add tracks and a plow to the unite and as it turns out Boss doesn't make the V plow compatible with tracks. Is there any aftermarket parts people have found to make these two work hand in hand? Thanks in advance.

With the Boss V fully in V mode, you have 24" of clearance from center of the hub to the blade. I believe the Camso UTV tracks require atleast 26.5" of clearance. You'd have to either add spacers to the bumper mount to push the plow out another 3 or more inches or make a bracket to do it at the bump stop area. There would need to then be additional leveling adjustments as pushing it farther out from the machine would probably cause issues.

I believe the tracks also cause the machine to sit higher and would cause additional leveling issues with the blade. My XP 1000 has the stock wheels/tires but I have the s3 springs so my machine sits a full inch higher than the top of the range boss recommends. I have my bump stop maxed out and have the boss bumper mount as low as I can get and am already not using one one of the bolt locations on each side and I still cannot get the blade fully level in V mode. The wings are about a half inch off the ground on the far ends currently. I am hoping my new springs will sag a little as they get some use which will correct the problem.

It will probably work for straight pushing but I am guessing the tracks will hit the blade if put into v position. Have the polaris brand plow with camoplast tracks on mine and it will hit the tracks if angled more than 1 notch but clears just fine otherwise. Also might want to consider HD springs for the front, my plow sagged mine right out after only one winter. I am sure a boss plow would be quite a bit heavier than mine. S3 is where I got my springs from and they worked great with the plow.

I have a boss v-plow and camoplast tracks on my 18... they say it can't be done but it can. You need to build an adapter from the frame mount which is the main mount to the bumper and the smaller mount that the plow hooks to. I don't have my plow on but I roughly moved the mount out about 6-8" and down to make up for the difference in height. Keep in mind now you are moving the plow out and increasing the load on the front of the ranger. I will be modifying my extension this year, last spring I was in an hurry and learned some things from the first design. You will need the S3 springs. The real issue is turning and hitting the tracks into the plow latch pin brackets.

i'm running a Boss VPlow on my 2020 XP1000. When I first got it, I looked into putting tracks on it and decided I didn't want to move the weight of the plow any further out from the front of the vehicle (e.g. law of the lever). With front and rear heavy duty springs and 400lbs of ballast in the bed it does just fine on the stock tires, no chains....and i've got a monster of a driveway and get at least a couple 24" dumps every winter. I feel like running a heavy plow with the extra traction of the tracks and the plow further out in front of the vehicle is a recipe for disaster.....just a matter of time before something gets bent or breaks. Just my personal opinion/assessment.
