I've been looking and researching trailers for sometime now and finally broke down and bought one. I had a 6 1/2 X 12 utility trailer that worked real well but I really like how the tandem trailers follow. I went with a 7' X 16' with two 3500# axles, brakes on both axles, tilt in ramp gate so I can lay it down when I can to help save a little on gas. It has a treated wood floor and the break away battery set-up. I'm eventually going to add a truck tool box on the front end for all the trailering goodies and some D-rings in the floor. I've already given it a good coat of wax and treated the floor with some water sealer. And last but not least a big thank you to Freddy for recommending the trailer dealer, thanks Fred.

I probably should've bought a heavier trailer. The Chevy darn near pulled that one in half getting it home [:0][:D].

Looking good! You'll love it!

When we had our open trailer, we bolted a 4x4 board across the front just in front of where the front tires sit - that way, when you pull it on the trailer, just pull it right up to the board and you're ready to go. And if you need to pull it farther forward to add a quad on the back or whatever, just pull it up over the board - not a problem for the ranger. Just thought I'd share.

Dan, 3 more feet and he could haul yours to. See what happens when you don't invite him over for asparagus.

[:D] I took good care of him last night!!! I found some 24oz containers of liquid wrench. If he hauled mine too I could not afford to pay him for the gas[;)]

Nice looking setup, I like the idea of tipping the ramp in.

I'm gonna have to load something up and pull it around just so I use my new trailer [:D]LOL. The next project is to mount some D-rings in the floor and then buy some of those ratchet tire bonnet things. I like the idea of ratcheting down the tires instead of compressing the suspension for long periods of time when hauling. I've got my eye on a aluminum tread plate tool box right now that I want to mount on the front on the tongue. It's so nice having a lockable storage area for tool boxes, gas cans, ratchet straps and I almost forgot the COOLER. I wouldn't want somebody walking off with any of nicely chilled liquid wrench [;)][:p].
