Years ago I bought (an early version) the turbo kit, from Bikeman Performance, for my 2008 Polaris 6x6 Ranger 700.
I also bought a ECU and clutch kit.
I’m currently using a Boondocker fuel control.

How can I increase the power and performance?

I use this machine for work so it needs to be reliable.

At the time Bikeman and Dirty Dawg were the two big names in building UTV engines.
I'm sure things have changed. Who are the big players now?

Given the cost of a turbo plus needed add-ons, coupled to potential headaches, I would consider selling it and getting a new/used 900 given your need for additional power/reliability. In my opinion, I think adding a turbo to a unit which was not designed for it will push the envelope of maintenance and reliability. I would envision the added temperatures and pressures created by a turbo will require effort on your part or a mechanic to map fuel, monitoring boost (especially on a hot day vs. ideal conditions), managing the added heat, likely redoing the air, and collectively see that as many things to monitor/manage on a unit. Again, these may things you are very willing to do and if so, look forward to seeing it work for you.

I do not see adding a turbo as a plug and play option, i.e., adding a performance muffler and think the possibility of it being problematic is high.

Hey Gerdo. Haven't seen you on here in a while.

Dale and Bikeman are still in the game. Todd at Hunterworks is another good source and you can find his contact info' in our sponsors section.

The Ranger has been running great and I have been too busy to log on. Sorry, I haven't forgotten about the group.
I sent an email to Bikeman late last night since it's their turbo that's on my rig.
Replacing the Ranger is not an option.
Building this 700 up or replacing the engine with something bigger and more powerful is the direction I need to head.
When I say bigger engine, it needs to be a drop in, bolt up deal.

4011599 1 EA ECU-1.1B,NO STA

I guess the big questions.
Are there any other parts that I should do at the same time? (offset timing key or something else)
What will my power gains be?
Will I need to modify my block or anything else?
I haven't found a "how to" along with torque settings.
Is this a difficult procedure?
Will my turbo still work with it?

I had my local Polaris shop do my conversion. We used RZR-S parts which at the time was 55 HP, although I didn't have the exhaust so I was somewhere below that. It was a nice gain from the 40 HP at stock.

I would think that turbo kit would give you all the power you need. What's up with that thing?

Hey Chris,

I am going to be building a 6x6 kind of like yours, as soon as my dealer can find a new 6x6 in Canada. I am going to swap my turbo Nytro engine in it for more power so it has more than enough horsepower for a chase vehicle and I will be able to run an automotive sized alternator on it as well. Stretch it a foot for a longer flat deck and Also I am building a carbon fibre crane and gimbal for it. The MoVi is way overpriced and not strong enough.
