It would be nice if they would let us know whats going on. It seems a lot of people have made plans and this delay is kind of screwing them up, including me. I would just like to know something definite so I could go on with my plans instead of waiting day to day for a delivery that may not happen for weeks.

I called Bennett Morgan the president of Polaris yesturday. I did not reach him but I did leave a message with his admin. About 6:00pm est one of Mr. Morgan's assistance Robbie(I forget his last name) called me back.....He gave me no inclination that there was reason for any hold ups.....but he was somewhat evasive in researching actual delievery dates. He said to keep in contact with my dealer for they would be my best information resource. So all in all it was a usless conversation. I cant help but think something is arye. If so, just let the cat out of the bag....if there is a problem, fine....I'm happy to deal with informed delays.Key word informed!!!

I wouldn't get too excited just yet. The RZR is so popular that the "other" crowd could start spreading rumors just to get some folks to buy somthing else. There could be a problem but the way I see it, the tie rod problem is close enough to a steering component to be mistaken for another problem. It would be easy to start rumors and sit back and watch what happens. Lets give Polaris the benefit of a doubt and see what happens. It is a new machine that everyone wants and some problems with delivery is bound to happen. We shall soon see.

Thanks for the update...
I think we should all call him.. My dealer has the seemingly same response every time.. "we dont know anything yet" and i'm like you i want to know what's going on.
at first it was "it should be here tomorrow" then from the dealer i get this "assembly in irving and redistrubute from there" i've told this story to two other dealers in the same area and they both said "that is not accurate it's crazy polaris doesnt do that" and "something fishy is going on"
i really just want answers.. and maybe a date i can count on.
my delvery date (yes i said delivery) was estimated to be the 9th or 10th.. it was shipped 11 days ago..
mabye you have Bennett Morgan's Email address..
i'm just really frustrated from being in the dark.

I just spoke to my dealer....all computer ship dates dates have been erased and he says he has no idea what is going on. I in turn just called another local dealer and his computer schedule shows a ship date of the 17th for his firt one a June 28 for the second.WTH?[V] I almost forgot.....I also called a dealership in GA I know and they received there 1st one and hour ago!!!!! He said he has received no information on a recall. He did hear from his Polaris rep that there was not a problem with the tie rod but actually the tourque specs on the steering shaft coupler. Who knows what the real deal is. I'm willing to give polaris the benifit of a doubt if I only knew what the doubt may be.[?]

Polaris knows and respects this forum and it's members. They would be far ahead to inform us immediatley of any facts that they have. As was said above, the rumor mill can run rampant if left alone.

I just came from my dealer. Mine was supposed to have shipped on 5-7, then 5-9. Today it says 5-16 on the computer... I saw with my own eyes. While sitting there with me he called Polaris to get the latest scoop. After a nearly 30 minute hold he talked to someone in the shipping department. She said that my particular RZR was held back from the original ship date to replace the "steering components" and would in fact be ready to ship on 5-16. She said they were all held back to make the repairs as it costs a lot more to ship the parts to the dealers and pay them to make the repairs. She did say that a few were delivered to customers and repairs would be made by the individual selling dealers.

The bottom line is DON'T PANIC, they are resuming shipping. There are not any other "rumored" major defects involved.

Striperman is correct. My dealer in Iowa has had one unit since last week and they got a call from Polaris before it was off the truck "DO NOT DRIVE IT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!!" Replacement parts are being shipped to dealers who already have taken delivery and that were shipped before the recall was made. They said it had something to do with with the steering. Settle down folks.

Now for those of us who are not getting one of the first units.... there will be plenty of units for us to buy before thanksgiving, much earilier. Dealers will still be getting MSRP for some time however.

Well I just checked in with my dealer and they don't know nothing. Two weeks ago he told me it would be in last week. He called me last Thursday and told me it was moved up to Friday the 18th, now today they say it may be a couple of more weeks and they have'nt a clue to why.
Come on Polaris get on the ball and let us know whats going on. Thank you...

All due respect but I'm am the consumer....If someone would have told me it was going to be December before I was going to be able to get my hands on one of these things then there would be no problem. The problem is:According to all RZR web related information and Polaris, this thing was supposed to be onsite by now. My dealer has told me 3 different dates and now there is no date. The dealers have no idea what's going on, once again all due respect but PRC hasnt any idea either. I by no means am I rich so needles to say I have taken out a loan to buy an RZR....my bud has taken out a home equity loan to get one. We soon will be making payments on a machine we dont own and possibly missing our long awaited, much needed vacation due to an abundant amount of misleding information. I'm not calling Polaris to beat them up but I do believe....like all are...deserving of some good concrete information. We may be stronger in numbers then as one but im the one flippin' the bill.

In addition too....My bud and I both also have purchased 1300 dollars worth of tires and wheels each based on all this misleding information. What about all the R&D investments of all the aftermarket? All the people that have gone out like me a bought accessories for a machine that doesnt as of yet exist.

i agree. i too put a deposit down and applied for a loan because i was told by the dealer that the unit would be shipped within a week and would arrive a few days after that.. the loan was approved with a good interest rate, but that deal will run out, and it wont start until there is a vin for my unit (which the dealer tells me he doesnt have) to loan the money against. my biggest reason for buying a razor is that for the last several years i've been building toys that are along the same lines as this thing. but not really there. they dont have the weight, the engineering or reliablility of a production machine.. if not for all of these features, i wuldnt have been able to justify buying this. i really only want to know whats going on with this. what's more discouraging is less than 75 miles away in oklahoma, dealers have already had rzr's delivered almost a week ago.. i was told mine shipped on may 4th, long before the unit in ok shipped.. and i still dont see it and there really isnt any explanation why.
so ya i'm frustrated.. i'd really like to have a guarantee that it will be here in time for memorial day as i have paid for reservations and such and planned a trip to the dunes around it.
