Clutch Alignment

I had to swap an engine in a 2018 Ranger Diesel Crew. Finished the swap and putting everything back together and this is where the belt is sitting. Secondary clutch has no shims, and that is what the repair manual says to remove. I did not use the clutch alignment tool (PU-50658-A) which the manual also says to use. I can't find a source for it. But even then that would not fix this belt alignment. I tried loosening the engine mountng bolts and moving the engine....that didn't change anything.

So how can I align this belt?

I found quite a few online like this one Alignment tool

Also, maybe get in touch with Todd at Hunterworks. They make and sell those tools and he has a lot of clutch knowledge.

I will check that website. I did contact Hunterworks and asked. They have not seen the diesel crew model and do not have an alignment tool for it. They referred me back to the service manual.

There are some an Amazon as well but finding the correct one may be more difficult.

I Installed a new primary clutch today on a 2011 Range 800XP, same problem, all shims removed from secondary clutch and didn't change a thing. Todd at Hunter works very helpful. I do not have an alignment tool

Were you able to get the belt aligned? If so how?

Not yet, just put primary on yesterday.

Fixed the clutch problem by ADDING shims to secondary drive. Ranger running good.

Add shims to secondary clutch. That fixed my alignment problem.
